Brutalism is a distinct and specific architectural style that has produced some of the most remarkable buildings to be seen in Cities around the World. Many of these buildings are now protected and listed to keep an extraordinary genre alive.
There remains within the movement of Brutalism and Modernism a special beauty that is hard to describe, other than its raw aesthetic qualities. These qualities are centred on the mass and form of the buildings, but also on the geometric design and the material quality. These qualities make it a far more complex and sophisticated genre. It is a quite distinct and formidable art form.
